So far I'm managing to control my eating and move a little bit more.  Husband has been feeling a little bit better and I'm hopeful.

A LONG break

My husband was diagnosed with cancer in June of 2011 and all thoughts of dieting went out the window.  I've done so much stress eating that I've gained so much weight I'm afraid to stand on the scale - so I WON'T.   Instead, starting now I'm going to watch what I eat, record it and increase my physical activity.  My husband is having pain and symptoms again, so the merry-go-round starts spinning and this time I don't intend to lose me in it's rotations.

Keeping just a little hungry.  Trying to make healthy food choices and stay active is a little hard to do when fighting a cold.  Hope the cold and snow go away soon.  I'd like to go for a spring walk.

To lose weight one must take in less calories than the body needs to maintain its weight.  According to the calorie / to weight chart I've constantly eaten 200- 300 hundred more calories per day than I should in order to lose weight.  So since January I've been fooling myself and you also. I'm a little hungry again to day and I'm 100+ calories over the recommen

Tomorrow is the first day of Lent and I'm going to try something a little different.  The one thing I've never been is really hungry. I've always had plenty of good food available to me.  For the next forty days I'm going to try to stay a little hungry to remind me that there are so many people in this world that go to bed hungry every night not because they are dieting but because there is no food fo

Working the program is like any other job.  If it's worth doing it's worth doing right.  Right amount of food for my ideal weight and age, right amount of physical activity to stay healthy and the right attitude to live a productive life.

It will be spring soon - if I want to be comfortable this coming summer I need to lose 20 pounds - It can be done if I exercise and eat right -  The key word in this post is IF.   Only I can make it happen.  So who wants to join me on my journey?

Any Day

Lost count of the number of days - so stopping that. I've missed a couple of days blogging, but have been faithful with recording weight and activity.  Each time I slip up and eat more than I should, it takes longer for me to lose the weight I gained back.  For me each slip adds 1/2 pound that takes 4 days to get back off.  What a ridged life I'm going to have
