So I started my life style change 2 weeks ago from yesturday and have been doing pretty good!  The only problem that I am having is learning what to eat and how to eat it.  For instance my initial goal was to lose 2 lbs a week.  So I started watching my calories and cut back my portions and did great!  But then I weighed myself on the following Monday and was astonished that I lost 4 lbs!  That's great!  But that is when it went down hill, at that point I lost view of my initial goal of 2lbs a week and started to go on a diet the first couple of days after that I ate nothing but fruits and vegetables and then when I got tired of that I ate only things that were extremely low in carbs.  Talk about totally confusing my body.  Anyway so then I beat myself up on friday, saturday and sunday for eating out at a restaurant even though my choices at these places were not all that bad.  I did however lose another 4 lbs throughout the week last week.  But that is when I realized that this is ridiculous.  Am I going to beat myself up everytime I go out to dinner with my friends or husband?  I can't do that for the rest of my life!  So I took a reality check and regained focus on my initial goal of 2lbs a week and went with it.  So this morning I ate strawberry and cream oatmeal (yummy) and I didn't feel guilty about it.  I actually ended up working out longer because I felt like I had a lot more energy to do so.  Workout this morning was 2 hours long when I have only been working out for 30 min.  Anyway enough for today.  I will try to post every day on my progress and see where I am.  Weight is 214 size 16 and 5'4".
