Hooping my way to a thinner, happier me

The battle with the bulge has so far netted me this : a total loss of 10 Ibs. I have been learning a lot of lessons learned along the way and have developed a VERY strong respect for the power of portion sizes, scheduled mealtimes, and eating healthier. To my utter delight my fitness journey had an unexpected treat in store for me - a new hobby! Hooping has become the main core of my fitness regime now that it's been cooling off outside and I've had to drop my cardio intervals. Recently I integrated a bit of strength training with my hoop workout (which is a challenging cardio session as well as strength training in itself). I'm doing sets of different kinds of pushups, as well as some great pilates moves for my abdominals and buns. Hooping has been sculpting my legs, hips, stomache and buns but I still don't feel comfy in a bathing suit, hence the adition of the strength training. Over the winter I am definately going to keep up with my workouts....I can't wait to rock a bikini in the summer and buy some cute new clothes. Now that I am closing in on my weight loss goal I want to start getting some muscle definition and look stong and toned. Hula hooping has done amazing things to my waisline though, wow I recomend it to everyone who asks me what I've been doing to lose the weight. I couldn't find a thing to wear to a funeral I went to today because nothing really fits me now that I've lost the weight all my clothes just hang off me. So....shopping spree!! Eeeee yet another bonus to my healthier lifestyle *sigh* lol.. :D
I'm planning on having a quick hooping session before bed and then off I go for a good nights rest. In the diet confessional today I must confess that I ate some chocolate chips tonight (damn them) and doing some cardio afterwards helps me ease the guilt (not to mention work off the sugar high). I usually don't keep chocolate chips or anything like that in the house for just that reason but a spree of baking took place here because we had our nephew in the house hahah so I will be glad when someone eats them all and they aren't a late night temptation anymore. So goodnight everybody and happy hooping world! ^_^
