weekend setbacks

Why is it you can work so hard during the week to control your calories and work your ass off but the second the weekend rolls around it can be all shot to hell in a matter of 2 days?
This weekend I new my mom was coming to visit me and that we'd be going out to eat, then my friend was coming into visit and we'd be doing something i'm sure that consisted of food or alcohol. My mom and i had a great lunch and it was way beyond the calories i should have eaten so after she left i went straight to the gym and burned off about 600 calories. The only thing that i really think i faulted on was alcohol.
I try to cut as much alcohol out of my diet as any 28 year old can possibly do. Saturday night i guess i over indulged a little too much because for working out for 7 days straight and burning 5300+ calories last week and losing 4 pounds... I gained it ALL back over night.
Looking forward, today is monday. Start of a new week and a new week of working out. Bootcamp and Turbo Kick is going to kick my tired hung over butt today but I'm ready to get back on track. I feel the 4 pounds in my belly and its not a good feeling at all.
ONWARD!
