So, I really like rewards.  I reward myself a LOT.

Probably more then I deserve - but you know...  It's me.  I like me.  :)

So, this weekend I bought a new scale for the basement.  It's one of those that in addition to weighing you zaps you with a bit of electricity and then tells you your body fat percentage, bone density, hydration, etc.

I like it.  I hear that they are REALLY inaccurate, but I don't think this bothers me.  First, it was only like $30.  The other scales without this feature cost basically the same.  Second, I'm not sure that I care if it tells me that my bodyfat is 10% higher then it is - as long as it is consistant with itself - i.e., if I lose a percentage of body fat, I'd like it to reflect -1% in the otherwise possibly inaccurate results - I don't care if it says I went from 39% to 38% or 37% to 36% - I just want notified about the decrease.  I suspect that this will work out fine.

If nothing else, it gives me like 5 more factoids to track - and I am very much a "data" kind of guy - I have this spreadsheet...  :)

I also, apparently, have a pretty high "bone mass".  This sounds like a good thing I guess.  Maybe I can call myself "big boned".  ;)

I also just picked up 2 new hand towels to take to the gym.  Target had them in the Halloween area - one has skeletons and a caption that reads, "I'm starving" - this seemed very appropriate for a gym towel.  :)  The other has cute rainbow skulls.

So, the occassion?  Um...  I have like 2 ready made occassions listed every  week, but if I need a specific excuse...  Last Wednesday was 6 months smokefree (I switched to a kind of smokeless - so, yeah...  :) ) and the Saturday before last was 2 months on my current diet.
