All my life I have been "in-shape" and "healthy." I played basketball for so many years I have lost track and have always enjoyed a healthy lifestyle. Everything changed when I decided to go with my husband of 5 months over the road trucking. WE had a blast getting to know each other better in the tight confines of the semi, but as the days....weeks.... and months passed, I realized that I had been steadily gainning weight. In all reality though, I wasn't able to get any physical exercise (I was stuck in a truck seat at least 11 hours a day) and lets face it, the food options for a trucker are not amazing. A person can only eat Subway so may times before getting really sick of it!!! SO after 4 months I had gained a whopping 30 pounds. I was embarassed of the way I looked and knew I needed to make a change! But then (February 2012) Just 2 months of being off the road, I got pregnant and weight loss..haha ya that obviously didn't happen. I did do very well and only gained 20 lbs during my entire pregnancy, but I was under some kind of illusion that I could contiue eating a lot and that breastfeeding would help me loss thw weight I so desperatly wanted to lose. Well here I am and my beautiful baby boy Benjamin in 7 months old and I have actually gained more weight. It is TIME to make a change!!!! I want my body back from before going over the road and I know that my going on this journey with my wonderful husband of now 2 years, I CAN do it. This is only Day 1, but hopefully day 96 down the road, I can look back to this day and say I am so glad I decided to make a change.
