Cross Behind Step Ups

Calories Burned:  408 calories per hour   (based on a body weight of 150 lbs.)
Primary Muscles Trained:  Quadriceps
Secondary Muscles Trained:  Gluteus Maximus
Start: Stand with a bench or step at your right side and place your right foot on the bench.

Movement: Drive through your right leg and stand up on the bench. Cross your left leg behind you and land on the opposite side of the step, keeping your right leg on the bench the entire time. From there, drive through your right leg again to stand back up on the bench and bring your left leg back through to end in the starting position. Go back and forth for half the allotted time, then switch sides and repeat.
