Be aware that riding on a stationary bike inside is easier than riding outside due to the lack of wind resistence and other weather conditions. Often your pace time inside will not translate outdoors so your RPE level might need to be adjusted.

RPE stands for Rate of Perceived Exertion and is based on a 10-point scale.

10 = extreme exertion -- conversation is impossible

8 = high effort -- conversation is extremely labored

6 = optimum effort -- conversation is difficult, but possible

4 = medium effort -- conversation is easy to maintain

2 = warm up

Exercise Comments

Just getting started. Haven't rode a bike in years !!!! I rode 40 minutes on a trail today and enjoyed it. Not sore yet, so will ride farther and longer next time.

trying to ride same distance in less time find hips slimming down and legs getting stronger

did 20 miles yesterday. Havn't done that in a long time and certain parts of my body are still a litle upset with me but it felt great to be doing things i used to do all the time!!
