Calories Burned:  429 calories per hour   (based on a body weight of 150 lbs.)
This walking exercise should be completed at 100% of YOUR maximum walking effort for the duration of the exercise.

RPE stands for Rate of Perceived Exertion and is based on a 10-point scale.

10 = extreme exertion -- conversation is impossible

8 = high effort -- conversation is extremely labored

6 = optimum effort -- conversation is difficult, but possible

4 = medium effort -- conversation is easy to maintain

2 = warm up

Exercise Comments

My doctor advises never to do maximum effort for longer than 2-3 minutes at a time.

up hill 1.5 miles broke a sweat and almost passed out

1/2 hour on the treadmill doing cardio keeping my heart rate at 156. I was sweating and almost gave up but kept going!!
