Calories Burned:  612 calories per hour   (based on a body weight of 150 lbs.)
Instructions:
Running on a treadmill is a great way to build endurance while avoiding inclement weather and/or treacherous footing. Be aware that running inside is easier than running outside due to the lack of wind resistence and other weather conditions. Often your pace time inside will not translate outdoors so you might need to adjust your RPE level.

RPE stands for Rate of Perceived Exertion and is based on a 10-point scale.

10 = extreme exertion -- conversation is impossible

8 = high effort -- conversation is extremely labored

6 = optimum effort -- conversation is difficult, but possible

4 = medium effort -- conversation is easy to maintain

2 = warm up

Just started treadmill about a month ago and i am on the treadmill 4-5 times a week for an average time of 40-50 minutes per session. My current weight is 259 lbs and i am 55, just last Saturday i had my best day on the treadmill i went for 65 minutes and burned 1010 calories in one session and i did not feel to bad after but iittle tired but able to to do this without great difficulty. However my average numbers are more like 725-750 calories in a 45 minute time frame, i am currently running /walking at about 4.2 and feel comfortable at that rate..any tips /advice , i am open for suggestion. thanks ...just joined today.
