Any suggestions are appreciated(:
I am just starting my weight loss adventure with my boyfriend and we are both very excited to see our end results. We are drinking two nutritional shakes a day and for us that's the easy part. We are also supposed to have two healthy snacks and one healthy meal. I need suggestions on what to have for the snacks and meal. I will be cooking dinner and we will have the two shakes for breakfast and lunch but we need a snack for in between, also any ideas for what to make for dinner? I do not like meat , but he does. also a snack after dinner..Please give any suggestions you may have ..Thank you!!
-Danielle.

Raw Almolds
A small handful of almonds makes a satisfying and nutritious snack.

I love fruit as a snack --- an apple with laughing cow cheese is good... Also, I'll boil a few eggs and will keep them in refrig for quick protein..I only eat the egg white.. Meals are usually grilled chicken or beef or pork... Fish is very good for u!!!

I agree
Yogurt is good for snack, I agree with others. Fish is my favorite. Portions are very important the size of your palm for meats. Vegetable and fruits I eat. Whole grains for pasta, bread and for wraps. Drink alot of water. I got a recipe from Dr. Oz for breakfast smoothie which is great.
Breakfast - Smoothie Strawberry
1 Fish Oil (Member's Mark)
1 Tbsp. Wheat Germ (Kretschmer)
2 Tbsp. Milled Flax Seed - Hodgson Mill
6 Fresh Strawberries-Medium
2 oz. Frozen Orange Juice (Great Value)
1 Tbsp. Psyllium Husk ( Vitamin World)
1 scoop Whey Protein (Creamy Vanilla)- (Vitamin World)
1 tbsp Chia seeds

snacks
Important to remeber when you have a snack aim for a carb high in fiber and a protein. Protein will make you feel full. Apple with peanut butter, handful almonds, rice cake with peanut butter(my favorite), a boiled egg(I make enough, peel them and then keep in frig. Every couple of days I will prepare my vegs for snacking or my fruit. that way I just open the frig and its there. I love air popped popcorn with season salt of any favor
For meals it will take some effort because of your differences but it can be done. Invest in a healthy cooking book. Its trial and error sometimes. Also if you can manage to make enough for the week. Grilled enough chicken breast or I will cooked about 2lbs of very lean hambuger(I know u don't like) then I can make difference dishes.
