Book: 7-Week Cycling for Fitness
I picked up this book a couple of weeks ago, and I'm finding it very useful in using my bike for exercising on the YNY plan. If you're relatively new to cycling, you'll want to check out other sources for more detailed info on bike fit and maintaining your bike, but this book is very good at what it advertises itself as: a bicycling fitness plan.

The workouts include warmup, cool-down, heart rate recommendations, riding technique lessons, and suggestions for complementary weight training (not a lot--just as a little supplement to the biking), and provide three levels of work, according to how fit you already are. Near the end of the book are suggestions for continuing to improve and ride more.

I like that the book offers info for novices as well as some new ideas and challenges for the not-so-novices, though if you're an accomplished cyclist, it probably isn't for you.

You may notice some unusual spellings, since the book was originally published in the UK, but that's a tiny, tiny thing that only an English teacher like myself would notice. As I said, it's been a very useful book for me so far--check it out.
