Explaination of the calories numbers on Progress Page
I noticed there is a Calories eaten - Calories Burned - BMR CAL = Net calories. I understand calories eaten and burned, but not BMR CAL. Can someone provide an answer as to what this formula really tracks?
Thanks.

RE: BMR
this reply was posted by the FitClick Team in another thread regarding the same question.
"BMR is the calories you need if you stay in bed and don't move at all). But we viewed BMR by itself as inaccurate since no one stays in bed all day and doesn't move, so an activity factor was added for everyday activity. So when users see this number they are comparing it to the BMR calculators that don't include activity factor and that is why it differs.
However, FitClick needs to be clearer about this on the "BMR" calculator page. And we discovered that we need a better
way to edit BMR, because BMR is only calculated during registration. We'll build an updater tool and add some descriptive information to explain how we calculate BMR (as we feel we are actually more accurate than other BMR calculators out there)."

BMR
Right now I am 5 foot 10in and weigh 219 and my calculated call daily req is about 1700call/day. and I tread mill every other day for 30 min at a distance of two miles and burn about 400 call, therefore this is taken in consideration when I am required to have an intake of 1700 call/day?
