First Day
I have tried so many weight loss programs in the past, today I found this site and I decided I am going to now work on losing weight and stick with it, I am on my own meal diet plan mostly of fresh fruits and vegitables, with small portians of dairy, meats, and grains. . .I am really hoping i can achieve my goal. My sister started on the Nutrisystem plan and so I am working hard to see if I can achieve as much weight loss as she does in the next month doing my own plan which I believe will cost me a lot less then Nutrisystem.
I am going to mostly exercise by walking as I am a security officer and I do tons of walking at work, then for my other workout it will be using my Elliptical once I purchase that. . .If anyone has any tips on how to stay on track and not give up please I'd love the help because so far in the past I always give up after a week or two.

Track daily
Join a couple of challenges which motivates you....track food intake and exercise daily....you will enjoy this site.

Tracking:
1. Food-which makes you and keeps you accountable.
Most people don't realize how much they eat, and specifically how much of each nutrient they consume. Tracking is vital in that arena.
2.Workouts-you will be surprised how many cals you burn just by using a pedometer and tracking your steps.
Message Boards/Groups/Challenges:
1. Make friends, vent and share info.
2. Get some friendly competition and motivation.

Update
I love this site. I have found I am really having a challenge getting enough protein/fat and calories each day, but way over on my Carbs so I have to start working that out. My husband bought me my new elliptical today, so I will start using it now for more workout besides what I get at work. So far I have in just 4 days gone from 180.8 lbs to 179.6, I know it will go up and down some as I go along but its nice to see it has actually gone down already :)

i have been on the site for 3 years and have lost 40 lbs and doubled my strength (weight loss not even my first reason) awesome recipes to plus you can add your own with weight training i need allot of protein try shakes or smoothies for protein and i have recently bought a juicer and just do dr oz juice i found to get all my nutiriiments i was eating all the time
