Getting the right amount of everything
I often find that I am in the 'green' area for all of my categories (fat, protein, and carbs) but I'm always low in calories. If I get up to the right amount of calories, then I go over in the other categories. I find myself always eating below the recommended amount of fat and above the recommended amount of protein and I usually stay in the green for carbs and am usually low in cals.

It's OK
Sometimes you need to look at your calories more than the others. If you're getting too low calories (1200 and under) then you can seriously harm your body.

It's OK to go in the red for protein, carbs, and fats. Just try to keep your fats low and your protein high (on workout days mostly). There's no need to get every thing green. Do your best, that's all anyone can ask for.

Food with high proteins
There are many food items rich in proteins and calories like eggs, milk, spinach, soybean, meat, fish, whole grains, rice, beans, legumes, corn, oats, peas and peanut butter which are good sources of high calories.

get variety
it is almost impossible to hit evey catergory every day. If you have a choice definately spend your extra calories in the protein category. It is also really important to keep your fiber content above 20 every day. If you want to stay healthy vary your foods as much as possible. My mom always taught me to eat 5 colors a day. I haven't been doing that for the last 10+ years and the pounds piled on. Now I find since I am dieting - I am eating 5 colors a day again. Who knew, she was right?
