Hello everyone
I am new to FITCLICK and would appreciate some existing low glycemic diet plans that may have helped others. I am a type 2 diabetic who needs to lose about 75 pounds-I would appreciate any advice at all.

Type II
I do more of a low-carb (the low-glycemic didn't really do what I wanted (normal blood sugar)).
But, when it's not the holidays, I tend to live on grilled steak or chicken and shirataki noodles in a stir-fry.
If you haven't tried them (shirataki noodles), you should. Zero calories, Zero carbs, more or less taste like pasta.
I tend to steer away from the angel hair (too mushy for me), but the others (ramen like or fettuccini) have a texture I have been able to get used to. They come in little bags from Asian markets (or Whole foods has the kind with a bit of tofu in them (this adds a couple calories, but still...)).
They're basically all fiber - so, be aware of that. :)
