Replacing the salt shaker with an herb shaker for hypertensives
Recently I found a seasoning mixture that you can make at home. It does well as a replacement for the salt shaker, according to dietician Anastasia Chetak.
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tbsp garlic powder
and a teaspoon each of the following herbs/seasonings.
basil, marjoram, nutmeg, thyme, parsley, onion powder, black pepper, sage, and savory.
I will add this to the receipe finder too.
As someone with controlled high blood pressure, I really have to watch the salt. Hope this helps anyone with a similar condition.

Good!
Glad you both will try it. I like it better than mrs. dash-b/c it doesn't have that mustard powder flavor. Enjoy.
