Lets see runnings an art try running then walk a while then run again adventually you wont have to stop running jamen music helps too or something that you like. Run with a friend that helps also

Also, when beginning running don't worry about how fast you are running but instead build up your base first. If you try to get fast while trying to build up your base mileage it can lead to injury. I agree with it being better to run outside (weather permitting) than on a treadmill. Long runs on a treadmill can be really boring making it harder to keep going. Congrats on your new lifestyle change.
