Sweet Cravings
I always crave sweets, especially chocolate, the week before my period. Then, I don't want any the rest of the month. Problem is, I've been told by my doctor that I need to quit chocolate, spices, alcohol and caffeine due to my acid reflux taking my voice. I need some ideas as to what would be a good substitute for the sweets. I'm a pretty plain jane when it comes to food and I don't like vegetables. I've lost 30lbs and got 50 more to go....help! Thanks.

Sweet substitutes
i'm a fiend for chocolates and candy, but in the past couple of years, i've replaced them with fruits, nut-butters and granola/cereal. i personally love sticking with honeycrisp apples and frozen white grapes as my sweet-snacks, but i suggest that you stick to whatever you enjoy.

craving sweets
I wonder how you're doing on sleep! Lack of adequate sleep or poor sleeping habit will cause you to crave carbs, it's your body's way of saying Help me! No chocolate huh! What about Cacao it's a better form of chocolate and good for you, check it out with your doc! I does come in bittersweet and sweet, I'm enjoying some now!!!

Lindt 70% Dark
I used to eat this more often-I tried the 85% and found it way too bitter.

I'll try the 70% instead of the 85%. Although anything bitter is good for the liver.

Fruits for Sweet tooth
If you are craving for chocolates, try eating fruits instead of chocolates. Most fruits are sweet and they contain high amount of fiber so you don't need to worry about gaining weight when you eat too much of it.
