post surgery workout?
I just had my appendix removed three weeks ago, I was wondering if anyone has excerise tips? Can't do any lifting for 4 wks, but would still like to do something now.

try this
Hey sueq, hope you are feeling better. You could try and do some WALKING with light ankle and wrist weights. Or if you have access to an elliptical trainer you could use it on a very low setting, I would say 5 at the max and keep the strides per minute under 75. If you feel discomfort not normally associated with your work-outs, stop immediately.

I have never had my appendix removed, but I did have a wicked bout with pancreatitis and couldn't workout without pain for about a month but these exercises I could do.

If you are unsure about anything contact you doctor, or you may find some information at www.webmd.com.

Good luck
