protein
It's so hard to get enough protein. Suggestions for protein snacks? Also, my carbs go over, but usually (not always) because of fruit, which seems OK to me. Thoughts?

Almonds
Try a handful of almonds for a snack. String cheese is another good protein source.

Net Carbs
I calculate "net carbs" as my total carb grams minus total fiber grams. That way eating lots of fibrous veggies and fruit doesn't make it look like I was on a carboholic rampage :) ... That gives me a big incentive to get my natural fiber intake high and has really been a huge key to my successful weight loss and maintenance!

protein
Greek yogurt is another good source of protein. Also using Quinoa instead of rice will help your protein numbers.

Smoothie time
Make yourself a smoothie with protein mix. This is a good one.
1/2 cup frozen 4-field berry mix
1/2 cup V8 V-fusion acai mixed berry juice
10 grams ground flax seed
1 scoop muscle milk protein mix (the only protein mix that taste good)
1/4 cup of greek yogurt
This is a great breakfast take five minuts to make. Your getting a good supply of protein. You won't be hungry after this.

Kashi GoLean and Greek Yogurt
I love to top plain nonfat Greek yogurt (Fage is the best) with fresh or frozen berries and Kashi GoLean Crunch or Crisp cereal. The cereal has 9 g. protein per serving, and the Greek yogurt has 23 g. protein per 8 oz serving. It's very satisfying.

Yes!!
I also love a daily serving of nonfat Greek yogurt. In one variation I add Kashi Go-Lean, Walnuts, ground Flax, frozen berries & protein powder. Protein + Fiber + Omega-3s = awesome :)
