Directions:

Mash the banana with the vanilla extract and set aside.

Combine the milk & salt in a medium saucepan and heat until almost boiling.

Add the oats and cook, stirring for 1-2 minutes, or until creamy.

Stir in banana mixture.

Remove from heat, cover, and let stand for about 5 minutes.

Divide the oatmeal between bowls and sprinkle with the walnuts.
