Description: A delicious bread that I make every Friday night for Shabbat. I use a parve margarine (Fleischman's unsalted). It's not a diet-friendly bread, so use moderation when eating it.

Ingredients:  Makes 18 servings
6  tablespoons
 
1/2  cup
 
 
3/4  cup
 
1/2  teaspoon
 
2-1/4  cups
 
1  cup
 
1/4  cup

Directions:

Add all ingredients except egg yolk in order specified by your bread maker. My machine's order is: liquids, salt, sugar, flours and then yeast on top.

Run machine on dough only cycle.

Knead for just a minute or two by hand and then braid.

Cover with a tea towel and allow to rise in a warm, non-drafty area for about 30 minutes.

Brush with egg yolk mixed with 1 tsp water

Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes
