preheat oven to 350 degrees

coat a non-stick 8x4-inch loaf tin with non-stick cooking spray

in a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, allspice, and salt. set aside

in a separate bowl, place mashed or chopped bananas, butter, applesauce, and brown sugar. "cream" the mixture with an electric hand mixer.

to these "wet" ingredients, add egg whites and mix for one minute.

all flour mix and blend together.

stir in chocolate chips.

pour into loaf pan and bake for about 50 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the center comes out clean.

cool 10-15 minutes and remove from pan onto baking rack.
