Directions:  
In a large pot, place shredded cabbage. Fill pot with water until just covering cabbage. Place pot on stove and bring to boil. Boil cabbage 10 mins or until just tender. Drain throughly.

In same large pot, place peeled and cubed potatoes and cover with water. Cook 20 mins or until tender. Drain and mash using either a masher or ricer. Combine 1/4 cup of milk and butter and heat until butter is melted. Add to mashed potatoes.

Combine, cooked cabbage, potatoes and ham. Heat through.

To serve, place in a bowl, and top with green onion.
