Description: This was a chili recipie that I found in a madazine that we just love. It is a must have on anyone's menu.
Ingredients:  Makes 4 servings

7  ounces
 
14-1/2  ounces
 
3  teaspoons
 
1/2  teaspoon
 
1/2  teaspoon
 
1/4  teaspoon
 
1/4  cup
 
1/8  cup
 
4  tablespoons

Directions:  
In a 3-quart suacepan cook and stir ground beef, salt, 1/2 cup of chopped onion and the garlic over meduim heat until meat is browned and onion is tender. Drain off fat.

Stir in tomato sauce, beans, tomatoes, chili powder, basil and black pepper. Brin g to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for 20 min.

To serve, ladle chili into bowls . If desired top each serving with cheese, chopped onion, and or sour cream
