Slice liver 3/4 inch thick.
Season with salt and pepper, coat with flour
heat butter and oil in skillet
add onions, saute 3 minutes
remove onions, add liver fry over heat, 3 minutes each side
replace onions, add wine, turn heat to high, cook for 1 minute
remove and serve
