Heat oven to 400 degrees F.

Cut potatoes into french fry style strips and place on an aluminium foil wrapped baking sheet. Drizzle with oil , season with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper, then toss. Spread in a single layer and roast until golden. This should take 40-50 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Add garlic and cook for about a minute. Add leeks and cook until softened. Add wine, tomatoes and remaining salt and pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for another 2 minutes. Add mussels, cover and cook until they open.

Divide the mussels and broth among bowls. Serve with fries.
