Heat oil in large skillet

In ziploc bag, combine flour, curry, and 1/4 t salt. Add pork and shake to coat.

Transfer pork to skillet and saute until cooked through (about 3 mins per side).

Cut yams into bite-size chunks and add to pork. Also add pears, reserved pear juice, thyme, pepper and remaining 1/2 t salt to skillet. Reduce heat and simmer until heated through and pork is thoroughly cooked (about 2 mins longer).
