Place a steamer insert in a large pot and add enough water to reach just belolw the insert. pLACE THE POT OVER HIGH HEAT, COVER AND BRING TO BOIL. ADD GREEN BEANS AND RECOVER THE POT, LEAVING the lid slightly ajar. Steam the beans for about 3-5 min or until they are crisp-tender. drain them well.
When the beans are almost done, place a large nonstick skillet over med-high heat. Add the olive oil and garlic and cook for 1 min. or until the garlic begins to soften. Add the bell peppers, followed by the green beans. Toss the mixture 1 tpo 2 minutes, or until it is warmed through. Season with salt and papper
