Ingredients:  Makes 4 servings (4 bowls)

Directions:  
prepare lentils as package states.. About 40- 50 minutes in or when lentils soften saute minced garlic, onions tomatoes, cilantro and seeded jalapeno. Add the sauteed ingredients boullion cubes and tomato sauce to lentils and simmer. salt and pepper to taste to taste.

Do not add salt to lentils before they are ready it only toughens them.

Have some boiling water on the side in case you need to add more water.

Soup has a better flavor when made the day before.
