I generally eat Boca Burgers, but there are others that are not quite as dry and bland. The Dr. Praeger burgers are my husband's favorites. I generally regard burgers in the same light as protein powder (as a quick protein supplement) so I'm not terribly concerned about taste. If I were what I'd do is go to vegetarian restaurants (especially those with cookbooks) and taste their burgers. Then try to figure out what I like about a given burger. From what I've noticed, most people like the toppings they put on the veggie burger more than the veggie burger.
If you're using boxed, dry veggie burgers, don't expect them to be very good. I've never liked them and they require a lot of oil to make the palatable to most people.
