So, I have decided to try to get fit and lose weight.  I have been laid off from yet another stupid retail job and I feel so utterly hopeless that I figure I may as well do something.  So I figure I should make a goal and a list of things I need to do to accomplish that goal...

At this point I weigh somewhere between 175 and 165 pounds and my muscle definition is pretty much non existent.  I have trouble fitting my thighs in my jeans, I have a muffin top problem once I finally get them on and my belly is flabby and unsightly.

My very long term goal is to get back down to 135, which is what I weighed in high school.  So I want to lose at least 40 pounds and I think 6-8 months should be a reasonable amount of time to do it in.  In the short term, however, I am going to a convention in the middle of February and I would like to look significantly sexier than I do now.  Even if I don't lose any weight I think I should try to work out a little here and there, cut back on calories and carbs a little and I should look a little better by then.

The things I have at my disposal:
- A kitchen that never gets cleaned by anyone but me and the meager amount of food contained therein.
- A kitchen scale.
- Wii Fit, which I havent touched in weeks.

Things I want:
- Skechers Shape-ups (according to the reviews they're great)
- A Yoga Mat
- A set of small free weights
- maybe a balance ball, but I'm not sure it will fit in my apartment...

Anyway, I think I've rambled on enough for now.  I am going to try and keep track of what I eat here.  I am having a hard time coming up with meal ideas for my diet, but I'll figure it out.
