Getting into the groove of things.

It Happened. I finally made it part of my routine. I'm finally a gym bum.
That's right, I'm a gym bum. I can barely believe it myself.

My biggest problem when it comes to losing weight is being a consistent gym-goer. Sure, I had my week-long spurts where I would go to the gym about three days in the week. But, then, the week later, I would go maybe once. And thus, the infinite cycle of gaining and losing the same stupid two pounds went on and on and on....

Well, not anymore. I have been sticking to my scheduled workouts almost to a tee. I'd give myself about 85% ---an A i'd say, on sticking to my routine. There may be some shuffling of workouts happening here and there, but I'm much better at not SKIPPING a workout completely. And that, my friends, has really made the huge difference.

So, what made me change? How did I finally muster up the dedication? To be honest...it wasn't anything in particular. It really just came down to me doing it one week and not wanting to disappoint myself the next week, and then I wanted to keep it up the next week...and so on and so on....I just kept wanting to get more and more fit and not wanting to miss a day. When I finally started feeling stronger, I realized the gym was paying off.

And How!
My arms are getting super toned, my waist has dropped about an inch and a half, and all of my pants now need belts (unless I want to give ppl a view of my plumbers bum !)
The gym has become so much apart of my day, I barely know what to do if I happen to miss a workout.

Hopefully, I will keep up with this wicked motivation...because god knows my body is definitely benefitting.

So my advice (in case you wanted to know) if you feel like you need to get into the swing of things is this: I say pick a short term date (let's say something like 2 weeks in the future)  and set an inch-loss and weight-loss a goal. Make it a goal that may in fact be challenging to attain. Then work your butt off towards reaching that goal! You'll be sure not to miss your gym routines if you want to lose max inches and weight.  Try to get to the gym at least 4 days a week but aim for 5 or 6. The fitclick set routines are really helpful for keeping you on the right track. I'm using the "toning for women intermediate level". It's been doing me real well!
Wish you all the best of luck and hope you are feeling the excellence of getting in shape as much as me :)
