Great workout bad diet

I had a great workout this morning. I didn't finish it but I really pushed myself (stopped just short of injury). I figure that by the end of the week I'll be OK. Just in time for phase 2! lol I'm looking forward to it actually. Though I think 5 lb dumbbells are too heavy. I never thought I would say that! Usually I use 20 lb dumbbells. I think it's because they have so many more repetitions. I usually do 3 sets 8-10 reps. These were more like 20-30 reps.

I ate like crap today. I was eating just fresh veggies and fruits with the occasional nuts thrown in for good measure. It was working really well. I felt great and positive. I started losing weight too. Plus I had more energy and all around happiness.

I don't know what happened today. This morning, while cleaning up the kids breakfast bowls I got a whiff of the fruit loops. After putting the dishes in the sink I was going to make my breakfast smoothie. Instead I found myself grabbing a box of fruit loops and having a bowl.

Then today I went out with a friend. She really wanted to go to McDonnald's. There's only one thing on that menu, their apple salad, that I would actually eat. And for the pittiful amount that it is I don't feel like spending $2 on something that I could easily make for 60 cents. I talked her into going on a walk with me instead.

So we meet up at Dunkin Donuts (was just using the parking lot to park our cars) and he asked if I really want to go for a walk. I told her I did but that we didn't have to if she wasn't up for it (keep in mind this woman is in her 80s). She asked if we could go into dunkin donuts instead.

So we went in. There wasn't a single thing on the menu that I can eat. My friend didn't want to eat while I sat there with nothing. So I got the hash browns. I figured it was the lowest calorie item, though I don't know that for sure. Still it wasn't raw.
I did have some fruit so it wasn't a totally bad day food wise. Tonight I'll have a tomato bowl for dinner, or a wrap. Something simple. Before that I'm going to the store with the kids to buy more fruit. And I'm going to have some of that fruit about an hour before I eat my veggies (the two don't always combine well).
