OK, will start with the good. I am still here after 31 days. Not all of those days did I manage to be where I wanted to be, but I still tracked things and that counts in my book.

OH! But last night! I have now learned an important lesson, no wine. NO NO NO NO Wine!!! Not because the wine was bad, only 119 calories per glass. But rather, as soon as I took that first sip, the very first one mind you, I was starving. Now if I had been better the rest of the day, it would have been alright. I chose mostly low-calorie snacks, radishes, carrots, an orange. But then add the cheeses, the bread, the little dab of butter. And needless to say the scale reflected this little binge!

So, I got up this morning and I'm thinking it's 66 degrees out side I can pull of a mega-walk and try to put a dent into last night. I mention the temperature because I am very badly affected by the heat. And for me heat is 75 degrees with a breeze or 72 without one. I got about half-way and my knee started hurting. So I rested. It cleared up, I'm thinking, "OK, I'll just turn around head home it will be ok, no mega-walk, but still a great walk (approx. 3 miles). When I get within about half a mile from home the pain starts. Thankfully it started in my elbow. Feels kind of like someone hitting you with a hammer. I reposition my arm and hold it against me for support and think, "I really need to get home." About a quarter mile, maybe a little more, further along and there go the legs (with my legs, it's more like a sledge hammer!). It was all I could do not to have someone come and pick me up from just 2 blocks from my house! So I try to look at the positive. It's ok, you still got your walk in, now you can just rest and take it easy and it will all clear up. Hah! I rested alright, went straight to bed and woke up 5 hours later! I feel better, but now, my whole calorie count is messed up for the day. I'll have to really work at getting anything decent in me today. And undereating is just as bad as over eating in my world.

OK, refocussing...It's been 31 days and I am still here! And I really am glad for that!
