Day 6 - Thoughts on running

I just had a GREAT run with my puppy. She's 7 months and really enjoyed running with me. I can't run far so I'm doing C25K which is an excellent program. Today was my last day of week 1 with it. For week 1 you run for 60 seconds and walk for 90 seconds. Repeat that for 20 minutes with a 5 minute walk before and after for warm up and cool down.
The dog absolutely LOVED it! It was her first time running with me and I have to say it made the run go a lot faster. 30 minutes just flew by. I so suggest taking a dog with you when you run. It's great exercise for the dog and is just so much fun.
I'm sorry, I know I keep on repeating myself a bit. I always wanted to run with Lia, ever since we got her about 4 months ago. Then she was too young to take on a run. Now she seem's the right age.
I'm really proud of myself. Tomorrow is my rest day but I think I'll do light yoga just so I keep up with the routine. They say it takes about 28 days for a new routine to become a habit and one day to break that habit. I don't want to fall out of working out like I have in the past. I'm really feeling good about myself and I want to keep it that way.
The light yoga will help with the sore muscles and isn't so strenuous that it'll feel like a workout. :D
