Apple pie, why are you so laden with calories?

I'm back on tracking my meals this week... I had let things go for the month of August. Happily, my weight has still been going down steadily even though I've been a bit lax on my dieting. I read an article last weekend that said that people lose more weight using a diet diary, even if they're not counting calories, so I decided to get back with it.
