An exerpt from an e-mail I wrote yesterday....

I am DRAGGING today!  I actually got up at 4:30 and tried to make coffee and go to the gym.  I couldn't even coordinate the coffee pot.  That was when I knew it was time to take a day off.  So I went back to bed, but still dragged ass all day.

My husband has a cold or the flu or something so maybe this is the harbinger of my demise!
So no dinner waiting for me tonight.  I ended up picking up dinner from chipolte.

Well first I went to Target to pick up chicken soup and saltines.  I had a fight with myself in the ice cream section.  One item snuck into my basket but I put it back.  Then I had a near melt down in the candy aisle.  The reeses were calling to me!

Then I went to Chipolte.  It was raining and gross and I was exhausted and figured it was ok to splurge - but then I thought, you know what, the fact that it is raining and I am tired does not change my caloric intake needs!

So I got the burrito bowl insted of the burrito.  I left off the cheese and guac and when I got home sprinkled on my own low fat cheese and a few slices of avacado.  And I only ate 2/3 of it.  So I am considering that a HUGE success.

---Today's ramblings:

As odd as the internet community is, I am so thankful for this blog and the people with whom I've connected through it.  It is so much easier to make better decisions when I have the opportunity to share my sucessess.  A big part of putting the ice cream back and leaving off the guac last night had to do with knowing I'd get more satisfaction from blogging about making the right decision instead of confessing the wrong one!  Yay.
