I didn't even realize that I didn't blog yesterday!

So yesterday was interesting.  It was all about me making decisions about food in the real world without calorie counting.

First my trainer and I went for a 3 mile run.  I shaved 3 min off of last week's time (mile splits of 11 min instead of 12).  So, that was exciting.  Then we went out to breakfast at a cafe.  I really wanted the chocolate croissant but that was out.  Then I wanted the bacon egg and cheese sandwich.  No.  So I ended up getting a bagel with egg, pesto, tomato and mozzarella.  And you know what?  It was delicious!

For lunch, made home made mac n' cheese.  Used 2% milk and a blend of Cabot's 50% and 75% reduced fat cheeses.  Saved 10g fat and 100 cal as compared to regular milk & cheese.  Plus - tasted awesome! Never made home made mac and cheese before.  I'm not sure I can ever go back to boxed!

For dinner - we are ordered Chinese.

Old order habit: wonton soup, fried dumplings, fried rice, maybe sesame chicken.   Last night, steamed chicken & veggies and brown rice.

It definitely didn't taste as good, but I was proud of myself!

Today - swim practice with Betsy.
Tomorrow - personal training.

I'm taking my day off either Tuesday or Wednesday - TBA.

Haven't really looked at the scale in a while.  This quarter seems to be more about putting on muscle/losing inches rather than weight.  So there you go.  I haven't been as strict about measuring, weighing and tracking everything I eat.  On the other hand, I work out all the time.  So, whatever.   I'm really starting to feel like I can conquer the triathlon!

Last night, I was so grandma!  I came home and Bengay-ed both of my knees.  Hee hee.
