OK, I've been waffling all winter, shrouded in a bit of winter blues. But the weather is turning and my thoughts have turned to summer clothes and vacations and there are some pounds I really don't want to bring with me.

I've just posted a Phase 1 plan: PaulaBSlim Curves Phase 1. I tried to stay within the guidelines of Curves High Protein Phase 1.

Here is some information for anyone trying my plan. The Half and Half at breakfast goes into my cup of coffee that I ALWAYS have. The meal that begins with ground chicken and includes onions and tomatoes is a chili that I make a pot of for my week of phase 1. It's a fairly freeform chili that is low in fat and carbs. I try to do limited shopping, so there are repeated meals. Tonight's supper will probably be tomorrow's lunch with a few modifications. I may have the same breakfast several times in the week. When I am doing Phase 1 high protein I always have cottage cheese with low sugar jello (to hide the flavor) for my afternoon snack. The Sunday breakfast is a quiche. This will probably be the basis of some of my breakfasts for the Phase 2 week.

All that said, there are NO magic foods. Except maybe water. Make sure you have enough water (tea, herbal tea, no sugar flavored water). You can add all the free veggies you want (anise, celery, cucumbers, tomatoes are good).

FitClick makes it easy to substitute and replace menus. Feel free. If you don't like what you are eating, you won't stick with it. FitClick also makes it easy to log your food. If you don't keep track, you won't know how you are doing. Count, measure, and log.

One more thing: eat enough food -- so you do not get hungry and so your metabolism keeps working.

Here's to less pounds by next week! :)
