I guess I just feel like I need to plan. If I plan then I will succeed. So I worked out another day of the meal plan. I would like to have 7 or 10 days worth of meal plans of the foods that I actually like and will eat and can cook. I think this will help me stay on track. Doing the meal plans is eye-opening. First of all, it's amazing how much food I am supposed to eat to get my calories. And to get the proper balance is some work to figure out. I think that I have been eating well, but I haven't been eating the best balance. There is a lot of adding and subtracting to get all the categories on the top green (calories, fats, carbs, proteins) and I want them all to be green and balanced. It forces me to be focused and look at what I am actually eating and in what ratio. It's also interesting how a little of what I normally would eat (for example: Pasta with hamburger) throws the whole thing out of whack. I can eat those things, but have to balance out the rest of the day. It's pretty interesting and I am excited to actually do the meal plans and figure out what works and makes for a balanced plan. I will make a few more meal plans and I am planning to shop Friday, for the few things I need (most of the plan is made from what I already have). Saturday is my start.
