I've hit a plateau. It's been weeks since I've lost any weight. I keep fluctuating between 192-193. I got down to 191 a week ago, but I haven't seen that weight since then. Plateaus are frustrating. But in other news...I've quit smoking. My birthday was October 22nd. I woke up feeling like someone stomped on my chest. I didn't smoke anymore after that. It's been 14 days and it's getting easier. Everyone tells me to expect to gain some weight. Screw that. I'll be the only person in history to lose weight after quitting. I've also started trying to run. Trying. Right now I can only run a couple minutes at a time. But I met someone at the gym today who encouraged me to keep at it. He said when he first started running he could only run 30 seconds at a time and that he just pushed himself to go a little further each time. Now he runs 6 miles a day. He also told me the fat will just melt off once I get to the point where I can run for 10 minutes straight.
