Beginning a new year most often times means everyone wants to lose weight. Why not? It's a great goal to have! Unfortunatley year after year I have watched friends and family diet with little to no success and then come March the dieting is forgotten. This year will be the first year I personally have ever had a weight loss goal. (Being as this is the first time I have been overweight) My goal is to lose 50 pounds by my birthday in May, this gives me 4 months! By eating healthy and working out 5-6 days a week I plan on retransforming my body.
Here's a little about me and how I have come to be my 50 pounds overweight self. Throughout Jr. High and High school I was very active playing basketball. NO WEIGHT PROBLEMS THEN. I went off to College 4 months later graduating Highschool and NO I didn't gain the Freshman 15. Actually I lost 15 pounds from having to constantly walk to all of my classes! Sophomore year I maintained that same weight while playing college basketball. Then came the dreaded Junior year where I gained back that 15 pounds I lost from freshman year plus an extra 15! I stopped playing basketball due to the fact that I needed to concentrate more on school. Senior year I maintained that same weight as Junior year (even though I was engaged to be married as soon as I graduated!)
Well I married my sweetheart two days after graduation in May 2011 and quickly lost 10 pounds during the summer just becasue I wasn't eatting school cafeteria food anymore. The came the dreaded weight gain...
My husband was an over the road truck driver and after spending the first 4 months of our married life separated I decided to go with him over the road. Well after McDonalds, Wendy's and Pizza hut day after day for 3 months you can understand where the weight gain fits in.
Now here we are just 2 weeks since we have quit over the road trucking and I am motivated to get back to a healthy balanced weight again. I am ready to take on the challenge and ready to shed that extra 50 pounds!
