OK. Here goes my first blog. I am 22 weeks into my weight loss journey. I have lost 76 pounds so far. Some of you may say that this is pretty fast, almost too fast, and it may be. Here's a little about my story: When I was 19, I severely broke my right ankle, leading to 3 surgeries. In 2011, I was 400 lbs and diagnosed with a fast heart rate and lymphedema. You might think that was enough to make me lose the weight, but it wasn't. I still ate the high fat, high sugar food. Well, it all caught up to me and I was diagnosed in Feb. 2013 with diabetes. I had to give up all of my favorite foods and go on what I saw as a starvation diet. I now have to be very strict with what I eat. I am not a calorie counter. I count carbs. That works better for me. Hopefully I didn't just bore you. I have a very happy personality and really enjoy making friends. I'm hoping to get some ideas for snacks and meals. As you can probably tell, I'm a talker. I will answer you if you message me. Hopefully I will hear from some of you real soon! Oh, one more thing. I love to laugh and joke around. I'm trying to get up the courage to upload a video. I don't know if I can. You might just think I'm a little TOO goofy! LOL!
