Since I started this diet on December 28, 2013, I have dropped from 160.8 to 148.4 lbs. I've only been "tracking" since Jan 1, so I'm only going to count that... but it's a big boost to the ego to be able to say that I have lost just about 12 1/2 pounds in about 3 weeks simply by avoiding most fatty foods, grains, and starches.
18 lbs to my goal, which is for mid-february - but I recognize that it may not be realistic, so I settle for reaching it by April 1st, and having my goal for mid-feb as 140.
8lbs I think I can do in one month, with dedication.
Speaking of dedication, intense workout session/piano lesson #2 is today at 2pm, and I am not looking forward to it - I was sore for a few days last time!
