Whether you are considering starting a network marketing business or are presently building one, there are some key questions you should ask before you start.
Most people base their decision of joining a network marketing company on a friend's advice or because they simply like the product. What they don't realize is that there are many factors that can influence their success which if ignored can lead to costly mistakes, loss of time and, most importantly, lack of income.
Here is what you should know before starting:
Why do you want to start a network marketing business? What is your personal reason or reasons? What is it that you hope to accomplish through and/or because of your association with a business? What do you want to have? Who do you want to be? What do you want to create? These higher purposes will propel your success and inspire you.
Will you have the time to grow your business? "I don't have time." This is a common excuse by many people. The truth is we all have the same amount time; the difference maker is what we choose to do with our time. If you question whether you have time to build a network marketing business, take a look at where you are currently spending your time and if that time could be spent on your business. Next, you would want to know what goals could be achieved with your network marketing company, in the time you have available.
How do you evaluate a company? Choosing a network marketing company can be done using the 3P's: the people,
the ranking checker, and the pay plan.
What qualities and characteristics do you need to succeed in the industry? In a network marketing business, aside from the products and services that vary from company to company, there are many people doing what you are doing. What differentiates YOU from other people in the industry? It is YOU that your prospects are buying: your personality, your enthusiasm, and your ability to lead.
Does it matter who sponsors you? There's a big difference between a "sponsor" and a "recruiter." A sponsor coaches, motivates, and trains whereas a recruiter just signs people up and in most cases, abandons them.
Whether you are just starting out or are already with a company but are not making the money you want, knowing these things can help to avoid the mistakes that many people make and accelerate your success.
