I work out on a treadmill. Started some running in gym at my school. I have to start working with weights for my arms.

I love to walk, but an intermediate level would be better for me. I like to walk with weights and on at least intermediate trails that have some slopes--even 5 miles would be okay. I live in a large city, and there are plenty of places to walk. I do a leisure pace. When I go to the country, one usually has to drive to a walking trail--but they are quite awesome. The walking DVD TV tapes on the market are okay (they are usually 3 or 5 mile) for a rainy day, and one can get a sweat with those if you wear a sauna suit and weights. Cross country skiing is fun, but I rarely get to do that--cross country ski machines are quite good. There was an exercise machine on the market years ago called the FastTrack promoted by professional athlete C. Rigby (spelling?), but it is not on the market anymore. The FastTrack really worked, and it was a lightweight crosscountry type of walking machine made from heavy duty red/black plastic that one could fold and put into a closet. Oh well... One has to be careful when one exercises with weights. I never heard of anymore getting harmed or damaged, but I always read one should be careful when walking/exercising with weights. I use 2-4 lbs wrist and ankle weights, and a wieght vest, there is now a smaller weight vest on the market that just sits mainly on the shoulders.
