seasonal difficulties

Is anyone else having trouble keeping motivated with the change of seasons.  It seems now that it has gotten colder and the comfort foods have become more common around the house and the days have gotten shorter.. All I want to do is eat and hybernate.  I swear I must be part grizzley bear. Absolutley no energy. 

 

Tell me what you are doing to keep yourself motivated and energized.

10-28-13 Day 1 again.

Monday 10-28-13

Starting over.  Totally frustrated with myself. I have gained 10lbs back since the 17th.  Being sick for 2 wks and not working out,eating and not tracking. Easily done.

Tonight I start back at the gym and my 1/2 hr cardio nightly to get back in step. I PROMISE.

I know I have been at this a while but after visiting the doctor and falling off of plan due to illness I feel as if this is day one all over again. 

Since my start on July 11, 2013 I have lost 35lbs. Since my first appointment when I was diagnosed with  now diagnosable pre diabetes I have been able to bring my sugar levels down 6points.   (its a start in the right direction). I have  a long road to travel.

WEIGH IN DAY= happy to see the scale finally going in the right direction.  for two weeks it did  the roller coaster routine (up and down up and down up and down)

Happy to report its back to were it was before the wild ride.  Maybe i broke thru the plateau.  on the back news.. still hurts.. lower lumbar.  it will be a wk now since i strained it.  I took fridy off from the gym hoping it would get better.  But I can not stop working out... Its fa

Day 84 Tuesday

This week is dragging- Woke this morning thinking it was Wednesday and its only Tuesday.

Well, I made it to the gym last night pushing thru the pain (wich is not as bad as it was on Sunday) Sore back not hurt back.  Returned to my 1% inclinde on the tredmill and felt better after doing my 1/2 hr work out.  I need to lock the scale up and only alow it to be seen once a week.  Right now I think I am gaining muscle and its not reflecting on the scale but in my clothe

Back to the work grind.  I was proud of myself I got my work out in early yesterday morning but I think I may have over did it.  Can you hurt your back on a tredmill?

I increased my speed to 2.6 and my incline to 2   and after my back hurt in lower back and siatica (sp?).

Found inspiration in my closet.  Today I tried on pants that just a month ago I could not get up over my hips... Although I have a ways to go before I can wear them, still can not get them zipped or buttoned, its more that I could do a month ago.  This in itself was inspiration enough to keep plugging.  I have to admit I did better today on selections and portions and exercise.  Who knows I may get into those pants by christmas.

Wish I had positive news to report but sadly to say my fitness train crashed.  I saw the scale go up two lbs down 3lbs, up 4lbs down 1lb, up 5lbs down.5lb.. and I got discouraged and found comfort in food.. :(    of the 25lbs I have lost since July I found 5lb of it back. 

I guess it happens to the best of them.. And as I told someone else its not what you did its what you do next... so... all aboard... back on the rails my train goes. Well Right after lunch

I have slipped a little.  I was going to the gym every night, then vacation hit and I got a little lazy.  Now I am back on track.  I have been dillegently tracking food in take good and the bad.  I am either at a plateu, gotten lazy, or just have eaten way too much sodium.. because the scale is all over the place.. and I am not talking a pound here or there I am talking 3 or 4lbs.  YIKES. 

I am now doing the 1/2 hr exercise again every night and try

Tuesday- Back to school for some back to work after vacation for others (me).

Back to routine and schedules.  After being on vacation since last Wednesday I come back to work early to unburry my desk and email... like morning did not come early enough I got here an hour early to battle the post vacation workload.  Yes I am a bit stressed already but nothing I can't handle.  I am proud of myself I tried to ween myself off of morning caffiene while on vacation a
