So I am approaching the 1 month mark! At my last weigh in I had lost 10 pounds and I am hoping that by the end of this first month it will be 12! Honestly, I can't believe that I am actually doing this and sticking to it. I am amazed at how easy it has been. Today is the start of day 13. The past two weeks have been good and I have learned a lot about my eating habits and having to track everything I eat has really helped me to make better decisions. I used to do things like grab a handful of trail mix and not think twice about it but now I find myself always thinking "if I do that then I have to track it and I don't know how much a handful is" and I almost always decide its not worth it. Today starts the first day of my diet. In the past I have tried diets and failed and my weight has fluctuated ever since I can remember. Yesterday I decided that I am sick of being fat and I am ready to make weight loss a priority in my life.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds me that my body is not my own and that I was bought with price therefore I must glorify God in my body. This is my motivation.
